Biography
Shaknoza Kadirova is a Soviet-Union-born Canadian classical pianist and performing artist. Music studies started at the Uspensky School of Music, followed by the Belgrade University (Yugoslavia), where she received her first Master’s degree in Piano Performance and continued at the University of Montreal (Canada), receiving her second Master’s degree in Piano Performance.
Laureate of the International Competition in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, and has participated in many International Piano Competitions throughout the world including Porto Piano Competition, Busoni, and Queen Elizabeth International Piano Competition.
Shaknoza is a recipient of the Grant from the Art Council of Canada.
Shaknoza is known for her great musicality, incomparable virtuosity, and vast repertoire. She is also devoted to chamber music and has performed with many ensembles and instrumentalists.
